Saud Kanoo

Chairman

A civil engineer by profession, having graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States, he also holds an MBA. Mr. Kanoo has 28 years of extensive experience in property development and real estate. He is a member of the Shura Council of Bahrain and sits on many boards representing the group's interests. Mr. Saud Kanoo is the Chairman of Ossis Property Developers BSC in Bahrain, one of the leading property development companies in the Gulf region. He is also the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chairman of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo WLL (Property Company), one of the largest independent family owned groups of companies in the Middle East with diversified interests in shipping, travel, machinery, logistics and insurance among others.

Jameel Almatrook

Vice Chairman

Jameel Almatrook holds a Bachelors degree In Civil Engineering from Leeds University in the UK. He is a very successful business man with more than 30 years in managing various business lines around the globe. He is a member of the team of experts for engineering to the high supreme courts in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Additionally,he is presently a board advisor to the Royal College of Surgeons in Bahrain and is part of the Royal Institute of civil engineers (UK), and The Bahrain Society of Engineers.

Faisal Almatrook

Board Member

Faisal Almatrook holds a degree in Business Administration from Scarborough in the United Kingdom. Mr. Al-Matrook is the chairman of many businesses that operate in trading, manufacturing, civil engineering and contracting. He currently holds several key positions as chairman, director and member of the executive committee in various companies located in the Kingdom of Bahrain, UAE, London and United States.

Mohammed Nouri

Managing Director

A structural engineer by profession with a Bachelors degree (BSc) from University College London and a master’s degree (MSc) in Concrete Structures from Imperial College in London, Mohammed Nouri has 32 years’ experience in construction projects including contracting, engineering, project management and property development. He has been involved in both the consultancy and contracting side of the industry worldwide. Prior to Meritas, Mohammed was Chief Executive Officer for Amwaj Islands in Bahrain. Mohammed is a chartered member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers of England

Pradip Gupta

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer for Meritas Group, Pradip Gupta is responsible for various financial elements of the company’s business, including financial and investment structuring, due-diligence exercise, the management of debt strategies, liquidity management, due diligence and helping to ensure that the company’s investments are performing at optimum levels. Mr. Gupta has more than 11 years of real estate and financial management experience since joining with Meritas Group and more than 10 years of prior experience in audit, tax, finance and investment division. He is qualified as Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2000 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor degree from University of Mumbai.
